Michael Garrovillas is a community organizer with The National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON) Northeast, a national alliance of Filipino organizations, institutions, and individuals that responds to the concerns of Filipinos in the US and in the Philippines by creating an action-oriented platform that brings people together through culture & heritage, education, health & wellness, and advocacy. Graduating from Hunter College in 2017 with a BA in Chemistry and minor in Asian American Studies, he continues to serve his community in various ways: from educational workshops, to informational outreach, to mobilizing to actions for the rights and welfare of the community.
